Take time out for the Taco Society Presents!

The Taco Society Presents! 3A

A close-up of one component of the “set,” which is computer-generated imagery (yes! CGI!)

Recently, friend and fellow writer Stacey Longo and I had the privilege of traveling to Goffstown, New Hampshire, to appear on The Taco Society Presents!–a local access television program showcasing genre writers and their work.

The Taco Society’s name is inspired by The Chowder Society, an informal club of four men who tell each other scary stories in Peter Straub’s novel Ghost Story. Taco Society members are writers Philip Perron, Tony Tremblay, Gardner Goldsmith, and Sydney Leigh.

I hadn’t been on television in a decade–my first experience wasn’t really a good one. This time, I had a total blast, and would do it again in a heart beat! If you’d like to check it out, you can watch our Episode, Episode 12, here, which also features an interview with teen writer Emily K. Murphy. If you’d like to read all about what it was like to be on TV, Stacey’s got a great post about it…and below are some photos.

If you enjoy the show, you may want to check out some other episodes or subscribe to the channel. Here are a few to get you started:

  1. Kristi, this is inspiring indeed! Glad you enjoyed it. I have never been on TV myself but many times on radio. I will be featured on Talk with Tenney (Lauren Tenney, PhD) this month (Oct 2015) but the date isn’t scheduled yet. Her show is awesome, it’s http://blogtalkradio.com/talkwithtenney Julie and Puzzle
