A couple of slightly off-kilter paranormal investigators may end up paying more than just the phone bill in my short story “Dead Line,” which is now available in Death Head Grin Issue #11, released May 1.
A ghost story writer who still sleeps with the lights on, Kristi Petersen Schoonover’s fiction has appeared in many magazines and anthologies; her traditionally published books include a short story collection, THE SHADOWS BEHIND. Hey, that is just so wonderful! You worked in a beautiful fugue between ghost hunting and the lovelorn–and even brought New Jersey into the picture! Such a surprise to find g-g-grandma using Verizon to get her descendant a date! Keep the good stuff coming–but next time, make the e-zine pay you. It’s only good PR if you can make deposits on it.
Thanks, Walt! I really had fun with this one, and I’m glad to see people enjoying it. I actually haven’t yet announced its presence on Twitter, etc., yet. Think I’ll do that tonight!
