  1. Congrats, Kristi, Is the book out now in print? Will it be in bookstores?

    • Yes, you can order it through bookstores and it will be on Amazon. I’ll post the link as soon as I have it!!

    • Oh my God! Cool BEANS!! Yes, bookstores are so tough!!

      • Yeah you figure a newbie wants business, right? Also, people’s tendency to literally judge a book before opening the cover is so pervasive these days. I don’t bother with traditional publishers anymore after what I went through.

When my book came out (Goddard thesis) my friends literally refused to buy it. It was like the worst arm-twisting I’ve ever done. The excuses they gave, when I look back, were beyond hilarious. Why didn’t they just come out and say, “I think you suck.”

I do radio now, and public speaking. Both are really taking off. I don’t talk about the public speaking in my blog, but I’ve been quite successful. I didn’t go to Goddard to be a failed salesperson. People who went to Goddard are mostly cruel and insulting to me these days. I’m not the only one who has been treated badly and ended up disgusted. Who the heck are they admitting there? They don’t know me anymore. I need to disengage from that crowd.

        Julie

  2. I’m friends with a bookstore owner. If you’re into traveling to x area round my way. When I say “friends” I mean occasional exchanged friendly emails and she seems to be a nice friendly person starting up a business. I tried to get a reading there but she hems and haws like just about everyone.
