When we started taking the chair apart so Manzino could take it home to his studio (easier to transport without the cushions, but also, hell, I wanted to see what my mother had done), we found pieces of old 1970s storage boxes, batting from stuffed animals, and masking tape that was little more than brittle paper underneath. Still–had to give the woman credit. The job she did lasted 32 years.
