Arbor Day Frightfest! Check out ARBOR DEMON
Arbor Demon is the latest release from Patrick Rea, who also directed Nailbiter (and I’m a huge fan of many of his short films…2013’s “The Hourglass Figure” is genius!) I may sound like I’m gushing, but I get excited when I find a filmmaker whose work is right up my alley.
About Arbor Demon, from IMDB: “An adventurous woman with a secret from her husband insists the couple go camping to reconnect. Something in the woods wipes out a group of hunters nearby, preventing the couple from leaving their tent. Secrets and supernatural stories come to light, and they must determine if the real threat is inside or outside their enclosure.”
Although the movie’s been on VOD for a couple of months, it’s FINALLY available to own on DVD/Blu-Ray. You can give it a watch here: http://a.co/aAHDgF1 and Dark Discussions explores this film in episode 272 here: http://www.darkdiscussions.com/Pages/podcast_272.html. You can also hear it on iTunes and Stitcher.
There are lots of reviews out there, but I follow Cinema Knife Fight, so here’s their Trashterpiece Theater series review: http://balzertown.com/cinemaknifefight/trashterpiece-theater-presents-arbor-demon-2016/
As an added bonus, you can hear Rea talk about the ins and outs of the making of Arbor Demon on Shadow Nation (the former Ghostman & Demon Hunter Show) here: http://shadownation.com/arbor-demon-director-patrick-rea/ or on Stitcher and iTunes.
