DD at Mystic Pizza

The DD crew and listeners kick off the weekend in true film-lover’s style at Mystic Pizza in Mystic, CT, at our annual meet-up, August, 2018. Counter-clockwise, from front left: co-host Eric, co-host Abe, me, listener Leo Pond, co-host of THE DORKENING podcast, co-host Mike, listener Kevin, and co-host Phil.

The weekend almost always kicks off with a dinner at Mystic Pizza (yes, of film fame). We see our movie the next day, and sometimes there are other activities in between or on the Sunday. This time around we’re hoping our film will be Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, but what we see depends on what’s playing nearby. (Last year, for example, we were hoping to cover Searching, but the movie’s release date was delayed, so we saw The Meg instead. You can listen to that episode—taped with a couple of our fans at a Panera Bread—here: )

DD at Leo's

The DD crew records a bonus episode Sunday afternoon at our annual meet-up in August of 2018. From left, me and co-hosts Phil, Abe, and Mike.

Last year a few of our fans joined us as well, and it was a blast. For more details, reach out to me through my Contact Page.

Hope to see you there! Here are a few other photos from the weekend.
