First off, this summer’s surprise hit The Conjuring was released on DVD/Blu-Ray four days ago. If you haven’t seen it yet, now’s your chance…and if you have or you’re not planning to, here are some interviews Nathan and I did that are worth checking out:

Moving on, the recent there-aren’t-any-special-features-on-these-very-expensive-discs screw-job Paramount pulled on consumers of the Star Trek: Into Darkness DVD/Blu-Ray caused a little bit of an uproar around the Internet (the commentary was an “I-Tunes Extra” only! WTF was THAT about?…oh wait, if you went to TARGET ONLY you could get 70 minutes of features…) With the number of people complaining—and many boycotting the purchase of any further discs from the company—I was hoping things would get better.

The release of pathetically-special-featured The Conjuring proves that no one’s getting the message. So, I’ve provided a list of wonderful supplemental materials on The Conjuring for you here…not as good as having it all on a nice disc that you’d actually like to have on your shelf, but it’s better than the nothing these companies seem to think we deserve…and just so you know, as much as I loved this film, I’m not buying it until they come out with something that’s worth my money.
