Get Set to Sleep with the Lights On: Announcing Scary Scribes!
Coming January 29 at 6 p.m. to Paranormal, Eh? Radio: the first episode of the Scary Scribes podcast!
What will make Scary Scribes a bit different is it won’t be just an interview; listeners will get to hear some of the writer’s work first—in most cases, a complete short story. Scary Scribes will air the last Sunday of every month.
Our first and future guests will be announced shortly. Our website is up, and if you want to keep up with Scary Scribes news, you can subscribe to our blog: http://www.scaryscribes.com/. You can also find and Like us on Facebook here: http://www.facebook.com/scaryscribes
Which Scares You More—Misery or 1408?
Winter dreary? Maybe a spook-fest is in order! I compare the films Misery vs. 1408 in an all-Stephen King episode of Reviews from the Shadows, which aired last month—and we ask, “which one’s scarier?” You can listen to the show here: http://www.blogtalkradio.com/paranormaleh/2011/12/16/reviews-from-the-shadows-4
Or, you can head on over to my Radio Interviews page, where you can listen to the episode—and many other shows—right on this site. http://kristipetersenschoonover.com/radio-interviews/
It’s hard to believe a whole year has passed since Paranormal, Eh? made its debut. What’s really odd is I remember the debut episode—I listened to Episodes 1 and 2, in fact, from my apartment inProvincetownat the Norman Mailer Writer’s Colony. It’s hard to believe it’s been a whole year, and I’m honored Terry asked me to be on the show with the gang from Our Haunted Lives and some special guests like Occult Specialist Nathan Schoonover, and we talk about the Amityville Horror, hauntings, and more! Plus, hear what’s been up on clips from his best shows and what’s coming up for 2012 on this special show!

I had fun with new friends and old last month when Paranormal, Eh? radio out of Canada announced the winners of its coveted Zombie Beaver End of the Year Awards for 2011.
I was invited to call in, have a few laughs, hear about the great things coming up for friends like Frank Todaro of The Invisible World and Nicole and Angel of CT Soul Seekers…and make a very special announcement about what’s on my horizon for next year!
You can listen to the show, hear the winners (and a few jokes about the October snowstorm and blackout), and my special announcement—right here!
Canada’s Paranormal Eh? radio’s gifts to fans: a reading of my brand-new as-yet unreleased apocalyptic horror story—perfect for heading into 2012; Nathan talked about the Krampus, and Nicole and Angel of CT Soul Seekers shared some holiday humor. Ghost stories have always been an oral tradition—shared around the Victorian hearth, intoned around the campfire, whispered while passing the haunted house.
For Halloween, Canada’s Paranormal Eh? honors that tradition with an audio treat—a reading of my out-of-print ghost story “House Sitter”…followed by the true story that inspired it.
Enjoy…and Happy Haunting! Listen here: http://www.blogtalkradio.com/paranormaleh/2011/10/25/kristi-petersen-schoonover
The video clue contest run by Paranormal, Eh?—in which players watched nine videos and then went to my website to read my short stories to find the answers—has a winner! Out of 75 entries, one winner was chosen at random. A package containing a copy of Skeletons in the Swimmin’ Hole: Tales from Haunted Disney World, a copy of the book’s trailer and a couple of other goodies is on its way to Jenette Casey, of East Rochester, NY. Congrats to the winner and THANK YOU to everyone who played!
My two-part interview with Terry Konig of Paranormal, Eh? Radio—and the very first episode of the show’s Rapid Fire Fan Questions—are now available! They aired March 15 and 16.
In Part One we talk Poe; in Part Two we talk Skeletons in the Swimmin’ Hole and haunted Disney. And who would I spend 24 hours with in a haunted house (besides Nathan)? Find out and hear the answers to some pretty cool fan questions. You can listen to them at the links below, or directly from this site. Have fun!
